Homebuilder moves forward on new community near Balloon Fiesta park in Albuquerque

Residents of a new community along the north Interstate 25 corridor may be able to get the Balloon Fiesta experience without leaving their backyard.

Stillbrooke Homes has been issued its first two building permits for its Horizon Village community off of Alameda and Horizon boulevards — less than a mile from the Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. Future addresses for Horizon Village appear to be on Horizon Way or Away Place, according to Stillbrooke’s website.
