International airline on why it left the Sunport

Volaris cites a lack of passenger demand for ending its Guadalajara and Chihuahua, Mexico routes from the Albuquerque International Sunport.

The Sunport announced July 1 that the Mexico-based airline will no longer provide service at the airport, effective immediately.

“Volaris has decided to cancel the routes offered [from] Guadalajara and Chihuahua to Albuquerque due to low occupancy rates. The lack of passenger demand affects the profitability of the business,” the airline wrote in a statement…
