Lavu revealed its new Downtown digs for the first time Tuesday.
To reiterate that point, CEO Saleem Khatri began the ribbon cutting with a “Lavu! Lavu! Love you! Love you!” chant. The phrase was a reference to the mispronunciation of “love you” by former CEO Andy Lim’s child, which is how the company’s name came to fruition. The chant also was a homage to the community where the restaurant point-of-sale company found its footing.
