A minute after the calendar turned to 2019, New Mexico’s new governor was sworn into office.
Michelle Lujan Grisham officially became the state’s 32nd governor Tuesday at 12:01 a.m.
“The status quo will not stand, because we believe in a very different New Mexico,” Lujan Grisham said following the swearing-in ceremony. “Together we will find the courage to create the promise of tomorrow for our children and their children.”
