Monumental 2,500-square-foot fresco project underway at Albuquerque Convention Center

Any guest of the Albuquerque Convention Center will likely walk past an art project in motion: the ongoing creation of a more than 2,500-square-foot fresco at the Albuquerque Convention Center, led by renowned New Mexico artist Frederico Vigil. This ambitious project, which began in late 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2025, is providing local art students apprenticeship experience in a learning creation process.
