Netflix’s commitment to investing another $1 billion and creating 1,000 more jobs in New Mexico came after the streaming giant reached out to state officials to raise the prospect of expanding ABQ Studios.
The investment, which includes adding 300 acres to ABQ Studios in Albuquerque’s Mesa Del Sol area, gives Netflix the opportunity to build one of the largest high-tech and sustainable film production facilities in North America, according to a news release detailing the expansion.
