A new coffee shop has opened near the University of New Mexico, and it plans to offer something most others around town do not.
50/50 Coffee House & Pub, which opened Aug. 12, will serve both alcohol and coffee-based drinks to its customers. It was founded by Carmen Prince-Morris, her husband Chad Morris and Amber Escovedo. Prince-Morris said the founding group wanted to fill a void they felt had been left by Winning Coffee, a shop that used to operate in the area before reportedly closing in April.…
