New Mexico’s three investor-owned utilities are accepting applications for community solar projects after the Renewable Energy Industries Association of New Mexico filed a formal complaint with state regulators.
The complaint, filed in July, said that notices sent to prospective developers by El Paso Electric, Public Service Co. of New Mexico and Southwestern Public Service Co. included language that said the utilities wouldn’t accept applications regarding community solar projects.
