Report shows New Mexico lost solar jobs in 2018

For the second consecutive year, New Mexico lost solar jobs.

The number of solar jobs in New Mexico decreased from 2,522 to 2,168 from 2017 to 2018 — a 14 percent decrease, according to a report from The Solar Foundation, a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit that tracks the state of the solar industry across the country. While the state lost jobs year-over-year, the New Mexico report said “supportive policies at the state and local level will lead to future growth.”
