Restaurants and bars face new restrictions as New Mexico tries to stem increase in cases of coronavirus

The seating capacity of New Mexico restaurants, bars, breweries and food establishments will be cut in half beginning Monday, and additional restrictions will be in place, after the New Mexico Department of Health revised an earlier public health order in an effort to stem the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

“The best thing New Mexicans can do right now is self-isolate and limit person-to-person contact,” Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said in a news release announcing the new measures.
