Urgent care operators eye new markets, rapid growth in post-pandemic economy

For anyone feeling ill on Christmas or while vacationing far from home, the nearest urgent care clinic may be the only option for avoiding an emergency room.

Their competitive advantages, from a business standpoint, are many. Urgent care clinics are open seven days a week and often late into the evening. They take walk-ins or same-day appointments, don’t require a referral and charge much less than an ER.
