Steve Vierck will be the newest member of the State Land Office.
In a phone interview Wednesday, Vierck confirmed he will leave his post as CEO of Lea County Economic Development Corp. May 10 and begin work as economic adviser to the Land Commissioner with the State Land Office on May 20. The State Land Office confirmed Vierck has accepted the role.
