With New Mexico economy in high gear, local leaders push for workforce, small business programs at Economic Outlook event

After nearly 10 years of fits and starts, New Mexico’s economy finally has the wind at its back.

That was the sentiment shared by Charles Dougherty, vice president and economist for Wells Fargo Securities LLC, to kick off his keynote speech for Albuquerque Business First’s Economic Outlook event held today at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Dougherty gave a big-picture view of the global and national economies, and how New Mexico is pacing at the beginning of the new decade.
