United Airlines said it’s getting rid of charging for change fees.
The Chicago-based carrier (Nasdaq: UAL) said it is permanently getting rid of change fees on all its standard economy and premium cabin tickets for travel within the U.S., effective immediately. United is following in the footsteps of Southwest Airlines, which doesn’t charge change fees, and that at United were typically $200.
